Taylor tops the charts in Charles Stanley stableford at Sidmouth
Duncan Taylor finished in top spot in the latest Charles Stanley stableford meeting at Sidmouth with a score of 41 points, writes Chris Roberts
With a gross score of three under par sixty-three including no fewer than five birdies, eleven pars and just the two bogeys Duncan sees his handicap down to the very impressive figure of one-point-six!
In second place for the second week running was Lewis Perry who also put a very impressive card together with 40 points, including four birdies.
Third spot went to the inform John Rocky with 39 points and this led to his handicap being cit by one shot.
Martyn White now has company at the top of the Eclectic League as Mark Thomas has drawn level with him and the chasing pack of Neil Holland, the club captain, club manager and Mr Golf himself all just a single shot left. With just two Monday stableford rounds left to play this season the pack will be studying their Eclectic rounds looking for that illusive birdie or two to get them to the top, and with only the two rounds left Jonathan Lee requires a miracle or a performance of earth shattering standards to catch Neil Holland in the birdie table.
