Mike Teague’s gross seventy-six secured him the latest Sidmouth Jeweller’s stabelford at Sidmouth, writes George Carr.
His 43 stableford points saw him finish clear of the field by on point with vice captain David Pepperell (Stonkey), second.
Teague used only ten of his fifteen shots with some very steady golf and a deserved win in this popular Friday competition.
Stonkey’s gross 66 (par for the course) for 42 points reflects the standard of golf he has been producing of late off his handicap of five; the five bogies on his card evened up by birdies on the sixth, ninth, thirteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth for a grandstand finish.
Stuart Coles also produced a fine gross 66 for 41 points off the same handicap for third place; impressive golf all round gentlemen.
