Congratulations to Marian Thomas who played a sizzling round in scorching weather on Wednesday securing the Moore Cup for 2013, writes Liz Chance.

Her net 64 score resulted in a three shot reduction of her handicap and also saw her crowned winner of division three.

The conditions were perfect, although some of us may dispute that when our balls failed to roll into the hole!

Diana Anderson achieved second place in the Moore Cup on count back, and she also won division two, just pipping Sidmouth lady captain Ros Eaton to third place.

Twenty-six ladies entered the competition with Sheila Thomson the winner of division one.

Well done to Margaret Thompson who won the putting competition with 27.

Nobody managed a two this week so the pot rolls over for some lucky lady next week.
