Sidmouth southeast went down 12-8 when they entertained Abbey in a croquet match, writes David Butler.
It proved to be another lack lustre day for the Sidmouth players who, in the early rounds, won only one of the four doubles games.
The visitors continued to hold the advantage throughout the 16 singles matches.
The leading scores for Sidmouth were by Richard Thurlow and John Coombes. They each lost their doubles and one singles game, but both managed to win their remaining two singles.
