The latest round of matches in the Sidmouth Leisure Centre Indoor Cricket League has left things good and close at the top with no fewer than five clubs sharing top spot.

With the exception of Clyst St George and Upottery, who have both played four games, and who have lost just once each, everyone has played five times and all have suffered at least two defeats.

Just two matches were played in week six and they saw Clyst Hydon B restrict Sidmouth to 105 before overhauling that score, while Clyst Hydon A batted first against Tipton St John, scoring 142 and then bundling Tipton out for 76.The previous matchday (games played on Sunday, November 11), Upottery picked up their third win when they scored 157 against Tipton, who could only muster 84 in reply and Tipton remain the only side still to win a game. Clyst Hydon B were restricted to 77, which was passed by Ottery St Mary and the other game saw Clyst St George score 143 and then keep Newton Poppleford to.

87 to inflict only a second defeat of the season on the Popples.
