After taking his first victory of 2012 at Rockingham Motor Speedway earlier this month Harry Tincknell arrives at the ever-popular Brands Hatch circuit this weekend for the fifth meeting of the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 International Series. Now in his second year of the British F3 Championship – his first with reigning champions Carlin – Tincknell continues to impress in the UK’s leading single-seater series.

The 20-year-old is currently placed sixth in the drivers’ standings, less than 40 points adrift of team-mate and championship leader Jazeman Jaafar, and as the 2012 season approaches its midpoint at Brands Hatch, the championship remains wide open.

The Kent circuit holds fond memories for Harry who won his first ever British F3 race at the track back in 2011 and he’s eager to carry on where he left off: “Getting my first win for 2012 at Rockingham has definitely boosted my confidence ahead of the weekend. I’ve been training hard and we’ve had some very positive tests so I’m really excited to get back out on track at Brands Hatch; it’s where I got my first British F3 win last year and it’s one of the most famous tracks in the world so it’s always great to race there and I’m confident I can continue to score some strong points.”
