Tipton have more reason than most to hope that the weather relents to allow them to play at home to Sandford on Saturday (March 10).

Indeed, since December 9, Tipton have played just twice; two outings of three hours of football in a period of 12 weeks!

The meeting with Sandford begins a run of what will be five successive home games – they also host Priory, University, Countess Wear Dynamos and Royal Oak before a midweek visit to Budleigh Salterton is followed by a sixth successive Saturday home game, their April 14 home meeting with Clyst Valley Reserves.

They then travel to Countess Wear Dynamos on April 18 after which, if all those matches have been played, they will still face five games in 17 days to complete their league campaign.

As things stand – with the season having been running now for 28 weeks – Tipton St John have completed just half their programme and they must now play the second half of their campaign in just nine short weeks - a busy coming set of weeks for the club!
