Tipton reached their target with six wickets and 15 overs to spare. Phil Tolley 52 and John Buckland 40 were the main contributors in a very enjoyable contest
Exeter side Bakers were beaten for the first time despite Tipton only scoring 84. They were in serious trouble at 38-7 until a 46 run partnership between Matt Davies (40) and Sam Stone came to the rescue.
Bakers were soon in trouble at 12-4, but the pitch could not be blamed for most of the dismissals. Mark Channon with 3-22 took the early wickets. Phil Wright took 4-21 and in doing so reached 998 wickets for Tipton in his 38-year playing career with them. John Buckland claimed the final wicket, leaving Tipton victors by just 14 runs.
