Newton Poppleford begin their Macron League Division Two season tomorrow (Saturday).

The Popples are in away action at Newton St Cyres with a game against Newtown Reserves and they are straight back in action again in midweek with a Tuesday night (August 29) trip to Thorverton for another league game before a Saturday, September 2, third successive away game, this time a Bill Slee Cup first round tie at Bow AAC.

Tipton St John also launch their season tomorrow with a Division Three game at Clyst Valley Reserves and they too are in midweek action with the much-anticipated derby game at Ottery St Mary on Wednesday evening (August 30), a game that kicks-off at Washbrook meadow, Ottery St Mary at 6.45pm.

Tipton complete a busy first week of the season with a September 2 Bill Slee Cup tie at Winkleigh.

It’s a big day for Sidmouth Town tomorrow with their new fourth senior team playing their first ever competitive game.

They are in Macron League Division Eight action with a game at Byes Lane, Sidford against Otterton Reserves.

Sidmouth Town thirds do not start their competitive football until September 2 when they have a home game against Exmouth Spartans in the Football express Cup.

The Town second team are in action tomorrow though, they have a Manstone Lane meeting with Alphington Reserves (3pm) and they also have cup action on the first Saturday of September with an East Devon Senior Cup tie at Elmore (2pm).

Otterton begin their new league campaign with a Division Three game at home to Budleigh Salterton Reserves. The game, at Stantaway, is followed seven days later by a Bill Slee Cup tie at home to Sampford Peverell.
