Tipton St John will be playing their first home game since December 9, when they take to the pitch to play Countess Wear Dynamos in a Macron league Division Three game tomorrow.
Since that last home outing, Tipton have played just once – that a January 13, 3-1 win at Lympstone.
The Countess Wear game marks the halfway stage of the league campaign for Tipton who go into the contest sitting fourth in the table, a dozen points shy of leaders Crediton United – who they meet twice in the next three weeks, first in a league game at Crediton next Saturday and then, at the same venue on the first Saturday in March to contest a Bill Slee Cup quarter-final tie.
In Tipton’s first 12 games this season they have won nine, drawn one and lost just two and they go into tomorrow’s game looking for a fifth straight win.
To date the only sides to get the better of Tipton in a league game have been Crediton United (3-1 winners at Tipton in October) and University fourths, who beat Tipton 5-1 in Exeter back in November.
