Despite the heat and dust at Bicton Arena over the Bank Holiday weekend, Beth Ford, from Tipton St John, had a successful time, winning the Best Devon Rider award and a rug from sponsors Everys.On Saturday, Jambo Jack jumped his first Derby in the main ring 1.10m class and came third. He also came third in the Newcomers and qualified for the Midi Final on Monday. Silver Ghost won the Newcomers and again qualified for the final on Monday. Clorogue Tim was third in the 90cm Open.On Sunday, Silver Ghost won the Newcomers. Jambo Jack was sixth in the Newcomers and the Foxhunter.On the Monday, Clorogue Tim won the 90cm open and was fifth in the Newcomers, while Jack was beaten into second place in the final.There were only two clears in the jump off and the other rider was not from Devon, so Beth won the Best Devon Rider award.
