Sidmouth Town boss Josh Stunell is delighted with how things are going for his Manstone Lane side.
After the double weekend win with Saturday’s league 3-2 success at St Martins followed, 24 hours later, by a Morrison Bell Cup 4-1 win over Seaton Town, Stunell said: “We played well in both games. On Saturday I thought the difference was in quality. We fielded a young team as did they [St Martins], but I think we all saw on the day that the better younger players were in the colours of Sidmouth Town.”
As for the Sunday success, Stunell said: “Against Seaton Town we had 10 teenagers involved and gave first team debuts to Jake Sellick and Jack Gibson. Jack has been a regular in the club’s third team and his comfort at easing into the senior side speaks volumes for the depth in quality we now have at the club.”
