the U11 Raiders went to St James Park to play their league cup final - and beat West Exe Rangers 4-3, after a cracking game.
Raiders controlled the game throughout the first half. West Exe worked hard to stop them, but it was not long before a Louis Adey shot rebounded of their keeper for Luke Spiller to finish off. All the midfielders worked well together, linking up to create many chances.
A corner sent by Ben Goodier, flew toward Thomas Moore who booted it home. Jed de Menier, Thomas Burhop and Jimmy Ogley kept control in defence. In the second half, West Exe put pressure on goalie Oran Bramble, but a determined Adey made it 3-0. West Exe scored from a throw in and got a second. Time was running out, but defender Thomas Burhop sent a flying ball from midfield over the goalie head and in.Westexe made their third goal in the dying seconds, ending the game a 4-3 victory to Sidmouth U11 Raiders.
