Sidmouth U16s round-off one of the most successful ever junior seasons when they take on Fishermen’s Cup winners Kingsbridge at Sandy Park on Sunday afternoon.

Sidmouth earned the match by winning the final of the Exeter University League. The Sandy Park game has the potential to be a cracker. Sidmouth have played themselves into form with two wins in Dublin and wins against Bournemouth, Okehampton and Saracens. Kingsbridge arrive on the back of their 21-7 Devon Cup victory against Devonport Services and boast an England International in the outstanding Stu Townsend who has been the age-group stand-out player since U7s and has recently signed a professional contract with Exeter Chiefs.

Sidmouth U16s name the same starting 15 as they did in the league final and have a strong bench with impact cover in the front five and across the back three.

?Sunday, May 6 will be a huge day for Sidmouth Rugby Club - the U14s contest the Devon Plate Final at Sandy Park, there is the annual Charity 7s at the Blackmore and a spectacular fund-raising “zumbathon” run by the junior section under the leadership of Alexa Baker.
