Saturday saw Cameron Vere score his 17th league goal of the season, which means the Lyme Regis-based player has scored more goals than any other Sidmouth Town player in their brief South West Peninsula League history.

Manager Josh Stunell says: “I have now challenged the lad to score 20 league goals this season and feel that is now clearly in his sights.

“His strike rate is currently a goal a game, so he perhaps ought to be nearer 30 for the campaign at the end – and I believe he will be if he steers clear of injury and can maintain his current superb form.”

On Saturday Vere will lead the Town strike force in the Manstone Lane meeting with Brixham (3pm).
