SIDMOUTH Town have drawn Peninsula League team Stoke Gabriel at home in the next round of the Devon Premier Cup after beating Hele Rovers 8-0 on Saturday.

It will be a great test of just how far the Manstone Lane side have come under manager Paul Ashford.

Dan Norman scored four of the goals, Ben Ashford and Andrew Thomson two each.

Ashford's were the first goals scored from midfield this season. Striker Andy Isaacs was involved in setting up four of the goals.

"The team are all playing for each other at the moment, which is what we have been working for.?It's a good habit to get in but there is no room for complacency," said Paul Ashford.

Sidmouth are relishing their fixture this Saturday away to Budleigh Salterton.

"It is all going well at the moment," Ashford added. "But we have to keep our feet on the ground. A spate of injuries, suspensions or even just decisions going against us, and it could all change quickly. That said, I am pleased how the side is developing," Ashford added.

Player of the month, sponsored by Knauf Insulation is, 1st XI, Alex Raistrick and, 2nd XI, Billy Jaworski,?Both players win a bottle of Champagne.

The Reserves were without a match last week but this Saturday turn out at home against Crescent in a Division Three encounter.

They are currently lying seventh in the table. The firsts are still joint top of the Premier league on points with Topsham Town, second on goal difference.
