Sidmouth Town FC have an afternoon of football at home tomorrow afternoon in advance of the Premier league starting the following week.

The first team kick off at 1.30pm against Bristol team Mendip Utd, followed by the 2nd XI match against Tipton St John at 4pm.

In excess of 30 players have been turning up for pre-season training and the committee would like to wish 1st XI managers, Paul Ashford and Jason Stiling, and 2nd XI bosses, Ray Clapp and Alan Rowe, the best of luck for the forthcoming season.

They are grateful to Harrison, Lavers and Potburys for their continued support, two sets of kit having been sponsored. New warm up tops have also been sponsored by T and S Simmonds of Temple Street Butchers.

The final phase of improvements at the club is under way this week with the painting of the new changing, shower, rest and laundry rooms, which should all be ready for the start of the league season.

"It is all in place, now it's up to the footballers!" said spokesman Rob Fowler.
