This was a much tougher game and played on a knife edge. Sid’s got an early goal from Will Hollis which settled them down a bit but they were pleased to see out a tough game 1-0 but some good saves from Ensall in goal gave Sids the confidance needed to keep playing well Lascelles and Holis kept winning the ball back to keep sids driving forward Mitchell was a constant danger upfront Sidmouth were please to see out this hard game 1-0 and see their climb up the continue.

Squad.Ensall, Stamp, Pyne, Lascelles, Wood, Rush, Fowler, Hollis, Roberts and Mitchell. Dawlish 1, Sidmouth 1

Away against Dawlish, Sidmouth were quick to get into their stride spending long periods in the opposition’s half.

Sidmouth opened the scoring through Jack DeWinton and, despite dominating, let Dawlish in to level just before full time.

It was stressed to kept attacking and the goals would happen and not to lose concentration at the back. Sidmouth continued in the same vein as the first but the Dawlish goal led a charmed life with bad finishing but good defending and goalkeeping kept Sidmouth at bay. With five minutes left a lapse in concentration let the Dawlish striker in & he needed no invitation to level the scores. Sid tried to find a winner but the whistle blew to frustrate Sidmouth who played 90 per cent of the match in the opposition’s half.
