A Branscombe golfer with a sterling swing showed the club who’s Boss as he landed a hole-in -one.

John Game’s golden game happened on Sidmouth Golf Club’s 11th hole, a 178-yard thwack he completed three under par.

The 73-year-old 10-handicapper was rewarded with a specially-commission Boss watch for his efforts

Stephen Brydon, commercial director for MGS Distribution which distributes the timepieces, said: “To the majority of amateur golfers, recording a hole-in-one will be the most memorable thing they achieve in golf - yet all many have to show for it is a dent in their bank balance after buying a round of drinks in the clubhouse.”

He said they try to make it more memorable, and give golfers a reminder of their once-in-a-lifetime moment.
