Archant

The Sidmouth ladies’ mixed team managed a noteworthy win in their friendly match away at Teignmouth last weekend, writes Penny Ashby.

Even more worthy of note was the win by Anne and Terry Blackler!

Terry was forced to retreat to the clubhouse after two holes and a hailstorm, literally soaked to the skin; whereupon the opposing pair kindly raided the club lost property basket to provide him with dry clothes and the match resumed!

Good fun was had by all, although next year the mixed team have requested more dry Sundays!
