Potbury’s stalwart Martin White, whose commendable level par 66 gross produced 40 points, won Monday’s Charles Stanley Stableford, this one on count-back from Nick Gringell, writes George Carr.
A fabulous Gingell eagle on the 13th and birdies on the seconf and 18th were not quite enough in this very high-class encounter.
John Dunne, with 39 points and a rash of bogies and birdies on his card took third place from Neil Bunting on 38.
Very Impressive golf all round gentlemen!
