Cold, wind and rain are the normal enemies of a happy golfer, but the greenkeeping staff at Sidmouth Golf Club are a tough bunch.
A daily check of the club’s Facebook page brings regular updates on course improvements, including the big tee that dominated the 12th hole coming down, with the bigger logs going to the Axewood Cooperative’s Log Banks for those in fuel poverty.
The dry, cold wind of last week made for bracing work but also allowed the team to get out on the course for some clearing work on the 5th hole and also turfing of the bank across the 7th.
It’s not just the great outdoors getting some love and attention at the club, with Otter Windows introducing three new big feature windows in the clubhouse, providing some fantastic views to either enjoy some golfing brilliance, or chortle at some shoddy approach play.
