Sidmouth Town UInder-10s continued their fine start to the season with a single goal success over Twyford Spartans in their latest Exeter Youth League game.
Sidmouth Town Under-10s were single goal winners when they met Twyford Spartans faced with a well organised and tightly packed defence, it was hard for Town to open the opposition up.
The deadlock was finally broken when defender Ryan Griffiths set things up with a tidy pass to Thomas Rush in the middle third of the pitch and he sent Jordan Fowler away to first beat his defender and then cross for Tyler Wood to knock it home.
In the second half Will Hollis was outstanding with many splendid tackles and, with the defensive unit of Dylan Lascelles, Griffiths,and Pyne, shutting the Mid Devon side out, it was no more than Town deserved to see the game out with a clean sheet.
