Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club (SOHC)ladies warmed-up for their return to league action this coming weekend (January 14), by playing a friendly.
A mix of 1st and 2nd XI players made up the team that took on a strong White Eagles 1st team.
The Eagles dominated the first half scoring a number of unanswered goals.
After the break, with a change to their formation, the SOHC XI were more competitive and managed to score a consolation via a terrific short corner strike from Karen Dutton.
An impressive feature of the SOHC performance was the play from youngsters Flora Hastie, Alice Please and Jasmine Scott. The three all looked comfortable in their surroundings despite the opposition playing a level higher in their league programme.
