North Tawton 1, Colaton Raleigh FC 3 Division 3

Four regular first team players were unavailable for the trip to North Tawton. Player/manager Riki Pitter demonstrated his faith in his talented crop of youngsters, by drafting in to the squad 16 year olds Blake Blackwood, Ricki Harris, James Beckenham and Mike Feeney, writes Ken Woodsford.

Colaton Raleigh dominated from the start, with Jake Boyland, Damian Armes and Graham Hughes strong in midfield.

Raleigh were 2-0 up after 25 minutes, with two good strikes from Pitter.

Playing calm, controlled football the visitors struck again, when Boyland played a one-two with Hughes, which sliced open the North Tawton defence, for Boyland to fire a shot across the keeper into the far corner.

Although the home team scored a consolation goal, Raleigh were never troubled and this win puts them hot on the heels of Division 3 leaders Bickleigh.

?Colaton Raleigh Reserves also had a good win, 3-1 at home to the Met Office.
