It’s not just the senior footballers who are suffering with a lack of action.

In the Exeter and District Youth League there has been just 55 matches played in the past eight weeks across the 13 divisions.

Sidmouth Warriors Under-13s have not played since December 12 which would mean that if this Saturdays (February 13) game at Colyton Redsocks gets the go ahead it will be the Warriors’ first outing in nine long weeks!

With the Exeter and District Youth League having already been extended once – it is now due to finish on Saturday May 14, it means that there are 14 Saturday’s remaining beginning with this coming Saturday. Warriors have played eight matches so far and have three to play to complete half their matches.

It all means that they will have to squeeze 12 games into the final 14 weeks of the season having played just eight across the 20 weeks the season has been running so far!
