Villages stand still as images show little change to landscape in Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe
THESE photographs are separated only by time and show West Beach and the Sea Shanty tearooms at Branscombe beach from the early 20th century to today.
Steve Wallis has travelled from Sidmouth to Beer taking pictures to show how little East Devon’s scenery has changed over a century, and they have been published by Amberley under the title Sidmouth To Beer Through Time.
The book is available from Paragon Books, Sidmouth, priced 14.99 and shows various views of Sidmouth’s coastline, landmarks such as its parish church, Sidbury and Sidford and the almost unchanged lanes of Salcombe Regis, Branscombe and Beer.
