Art, furniture and more at antiques fair this weekend
SOFT leather sofas, painted Scandinavian chairs, English oak farmhouse dressers and smart Georgian and Regency cupboards and tables go on sale at The Powderham Castle Antiques and Fine Art Fair, near Exeter on March 2-4.
Art and antique dealers from across the UK will be exhibiting at this event, which is widely considered to be the most prestigious antiques fair in the Westcountry.
Exhibits start from less than �30 for a Victorian engraving to more than �10,000 for oil paintings. Among the many furniture pieces will be a rare set of ash 18th century ladder-back country chairs, with ‘ham bone’ top rail, priced at �4,950.
Daily admission to the fair is �5, open from 11am to 5pm.
