Local author Iris Jones Simantel will be signing her new book at Paragon Books on Saturday.
The 74-year-old, who shot to success with her memoir Far From the East End about her childhood during World War Two last year, has written a sequel, GI Bride, which came out yesterday.
In her new book she covers the next chapter in an extraordinary life spent both sides of the Atlantic, leaving for America aged just 16.
She will be signing copies at the High Street shop from 11am tomorrow morning.
