IF YOU want to get down and disco there will be a touch of Saturday Night Fever at Sidmouth's Radway Inn, on Saturday, June 20.

Publican Stephen French is celebrating his 37th birthday next week and decided to transform the pub with 70's posters for his birthday disco.

"It will be open to the public and there will be cheaper drinks for those who come in 70's fancy dress," said Mr French, who has booked DJ Stuart Hughes to run the 70's disco between 8pm and midnight.

"It is proving very popular, a lot of people have been out and hired fancy dress items."

Mr Hughes said: "This is the first gig I have done in or around Sidmouth that anyone can go to and I am looking forward to playing those 70's sounds that will bring back many memories."

Be prepared for the sounds from Glam Rock stars such as Sweet, Slade, Bowie, Glitter Band, Mott the Hoople and Wizzard, as well as some smooth soul sounds.

In Mr Hughes own words: "Get down on that floor and sock it to me one more time Stu's back in town and ready to groove.
