Rock’n’Roll icons from Fifties part of Peter Goodhall art exhibition at Sidmouth’s theatre
A MONTAGE of Rock’n’Roll icons from the ‘50s, including Buddy Holly and Elvis, is among paintings currently exhibited at Sidmouth’s Manor Pavilion Theatre.
In this nostalgic theme, inspired by the music of the late 1950s, award-winning East Devon artist Peter Goodhall has portrayed well know rock’n’roll stars in his painting Dreamboats and Petticoats from his Cruisin’ series, which also includes a montage painting of the Rolling Stones.
Peter is internationally acclaimed for his rural and marine paintings with historical and nostalgic influences and a selection of these images featuring the local area can also be seen at this exhibition, which runs until Saturday, June 2, from 10am to 2pm during box office hours.
Peter won the title Artist of the Year from the Society for all Artists in 2011 for his oil painting Liberty, which is available as a limited edition print.
