Beer Quarry Caves is leading kids on a Halloween tour of the caverns on Saturday. Read this and more.

BOMBING OUT: The Bomb Shelter in Beer will be protecting a precious ward from next Saturday.

It was chosen by Beth Pearson as ‘an unusual but wholly apt venue’ for her latest exhibition of more than 30 of her latest works.

The show will run from November 3 to 10 and will be open from 10am to 4pm each day.

DOLPHIN DRINKS: Beer pub The Dolphin is holding its first ever beer and cider festival from tonight (Friday) until Sunday.

It will feature live music from The Barries, Jamie Gorman, the Doo-Dahs and Break the Chain.

CHURCH CONCERT: St Winifred’s Church in Branscombe is having an autumn concert to raise church funds tomorrow (Saturday) from 7.30pm.

It will feature Val Howels, Maggie’s Men and the Wags, the Cameo Singers, and many more.

There will be wine and nibbles during the interval.

TEA PARTY: The Branscombe Project is holding a series of events to mark its week of history in the village hall.

Village chef Gary Rivers will host a Victorian tea party with musical accompaniment from Morgan Rayner on Sunday from 2.30pm to 5pm. Entry costs �2.

They are reviving last year’s drama-doc, a joint effort between the Project and the Branscombe Players which tells the history of the village, with a Powerpoint slideshow.

The Branscombe Project exhibition itself is in the village hall from tomorrow (Saturday) until November 2, from 12noon to 5pm each day.

FRENCH CLUB: Beer Primary School is starting a new after-school French club from November 8 until December 6.

AFTER-SCHOOL SPORTS: There is a new multi-sports club at Beer Primary School to let kids play games of dodgeball, football, rugby, netball, basketball, hockey and benchball!

The club runs on Wednesday from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and is for boys and girls of all abilities.

It costs �2 per session.

HALLOWEEN TOUR: Beer Quarry Caves is leading kids on a Halloween tour of the caverns on Saturday.

There will be two tours, starting at 4.30pm and 5.45pm.

Entrance is �4 and all money will go to the Young Epilepsy charity.

BONFIRE BONANZA: The Youth of Branscombe - also known as the YoBs - will be having their bonfire night from 6.30pm behind the village hall on Saturday, November 3.
