MORE volunteers are needed to help with this year's Poppy Appeal collection around Sidmouth.
Organiser Liz Langham would like to hear from anyone able to help on (01395) 578987.
She said: "The Poppy Appeal starts on Saturday, October 24. We want as many volunteers as possible."
She would like donations for the Royal British Legion appeal to top last year's figure of just over 10,000.
It will run until Remembrance Day on November 11 and volunteers can be found at Sidmouth Indoor Shopping Centre during this time, where crosses for the Garden of Remembrance Service on Friday, November 6 at 10.15am, are on sale.
Although the parish church will not be open, this year's Remembrance Sunday service on November 8, will go ahead as usual with a parade to the war memorial for a wreath-laying ceremony before a service at the nearby United Reformed church, Church Street.
