LOCAL Devon radio DJ and panto veteran, Douglas Mounce, will burst on to the Manor Pavilion stage as the Charles Vance season draws to a close.
Mounce is set to make a special guest appearance in Doctor in the House, the uproarious medical tale marking the penultimate performance of the Charles and Imogen Vance festival 2011, writes Charlie Lister.
Doctor in the House follows young medical student Simon Sparrow as he begins his internship at St. Swithin’s teaching hospital.
Drinking, dating, and falling foul of the irascible head surgeon make for farcical consequences in the stage adaptation of the film which made Dirk Bogarde one of the biggest British stars of the 1950s.
