PAINTINGS by artists from Newton Poppleford Art Society will be on display at a summer exhibit. Axminster Arts is running the exhibition of around 30 paintings in watercolour, oil and pastel until Saturday, July 4. The society started in 1996 with 36 members and now has 90 - and a long waiting list. It holds monthly meetings and an annual exhibition in the village's primary school. The society raises funds for several charities. Paintings are priced up to around �50.
