Alicia steps in as Sally Bowles for Sidmouth production of Cabaret
MEET Sally Bowles, aka Alicia Highly, 24, who has stepped into the lead role of Cabaret, which opens at the Manor Pavilion Theatre, Sidmouth, on Wednesday June 8 and runs until Saturday, June 11.
When the lead actress had to back out at the last minute, with just a month to opening night, Alicia took on the famous Sally Bowles role and has spent days and evenings learning her lines, songs and dance routines for the part.
Alicia, from Newton Poppleford, was seven when she first set foot on the Manor Pavilion stage as Marta, the second youngest of the Von Trapp children in The Sound Of Music.
She has since taken part in many Sidmouth productions, including the role of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, and she has regularly wowed panto fans in Colaton Raleigh.
