MEMBERS of Newton Poppleford Art Society (NPAS) are backing Devon Air Ambulance Appeal to raise 600,000 for a new helicopter, by staging a 50 for 15 art exhibition, writes Rufus Baker-Morris.
Using the theme Up, Up and Away, members have been asked to donate their own pictures, which will be exhibited at Newton Poppleford Primary School from next Wednesday July 27 to Wednesday August 3.
The paintings, all measuring 12” by 10”, will be on sale for 15 each and all the money will go to the DAA appeal.
The NPAS hopes for good support from its members in order to raise a significant amount of money.
Rosemary Boud, chairman of the NPAS wants at least 50 paintings for the show and said: “This is a great opportunity for members.”
It costs the DAAA 4.5 million annually to run its two helicopters.
