Jan Sutcliffe is delighted to be playing the role of Ruth, pirate maid-of-all-works, in the SACOS production of Pirates of Penzanze at The Manor Pavilion Theatre.
In her professional career, which has spanned four decades, she has been privileged to perform in some of Britain's great theatres, but she has a very special place in her heart for The Manor Pavilion Theatre, because for the past seven years it has allowed her to bring in her company of performers, The Old Bull and Bush Company of Artistes, to raise many thousands of pounds for charity. And a number of SACOS members have given their time and considerable talents to perform for The Old Bull and Bush.
Jan says that audiences will simply love Pirates of Penzance. "It is a joyful experience and guaranteed to take away the winter blues," she said.
