A SERIES of winter talks organised by Sid Vale Association, begins with an illustrated talk by Robert Crick on the poet John Milton.

Robert, chairman of the Vision Group for Sidmouth, will discuss John Milton, Poet, Revolutionary and Founder of Sidmouth, when he gives his talk on Wednesday, October 21, at Manor Pavilion Theatre from 2.30pm.

Robert has a passion for English literature, and in particular Paradise Lost.

An experienced lecturer, will he find paradise or pandemonium in what promises to be a lively talk?

Robert is first of a series of local experts to talk about their favourite subjects. Others include Terry O'Brien, on his lifetime adventures with Sidmouth Rugby Club, Kate Tobin, who is on the team creating the Axe Estuary Wetlands Project, and Wild Food Forager Robin Harford, who will speak on the paradise he finds in Sid Valley.

Talks are open to everyone and there is a small charge of 1.50 at the door, which includes light refreshments after the talks, which all begin at 2.30pm.
