A marine consultant hopes to bring about a sea change for audience of the Branscombe Project’s first lecture of the year.
Neville Copperthwaite’s talk, entitled ‘Contested Seas; the tide is turning,’ is on the contested seascapes of Lyme Bay fishermen and conservationists.
He will celebrate the work of the trail-blazing Blue Marine Foundation Project, which shows what can be achieved when people sit round a table and actually talk to each other.
Neville hopes to give an uplifting speech that conveys the feeling that management of the sea is changing for the better.
The talk takes place in Branscombe Village Hall on Monday from 7.30pm, and entrance is free.
