Morris dancers from across the country descended upon Sidmouth once again for a week of folk dancing, music and other frivolities.
Despite the recession, organisers say that this year has seen more musicians than ever before performing on the streets, stage and along the esplanade. The week of folk celebrations comes to an end on Friday evening with a torchlit procession to the seafront where the torches are extinguished in the sea followed by the annual firework display.
