Concert is free entry, but donations to the Repair Cafe are invited.
A concert by the Sidmouth Gospel Choir takes place on Sunday, November 18, to raise funds for the Repair Café.
The choir describe their style as “contemporary gospel with a big sound, but an infections, heart-warming feel.”
It is an inclusive, community choir which is open to anyone of any faith or no faith at all.
Soloists Lucy Dary and Andrew Torjussen will be leading the performance, which takes place at St Francis Church on Woolbrook Road on Sunday 18th November at 7pm. Entry is free but the audience will be invited to donate to the Repair Cafe.
The concert’s organiser Angie Carney is a founder member of the Choir and was its leader until two years ago, before she went on to be Community Development Manager for the Salvation Army in Sidmouth.
She is also the chair of the Sidmouth Repair Café, which helps local residents to fix things rather than throw them away. The next Repair Café will be at the Youth Centre on Manstone Lane on Saturday 24th November between 10am and 1pm.
