Sidmouth Library is joining a national recruitment day to show budding bibliophiles what they are missing next Saturday.
Anyone under 18 who joins on the day will get a free one pound voucher for DVD hire, and there will be tea and coffee on offer.
And to mark National Libraries Day, regular readers can fill out forms to say what they love about the library, which will be added to a display.
Borrowers who join during February or who refers someone will be entered into a free draw to win an eReader.
