Cast for Treasure Island sought by Sidmouth Amateur Dramatic Society panto director

PLANS are already taking shape for next year’s action-packed SADS panto.

If you’ve always wanted to be part of a pantomime, Sidmouth Amateur Dramatic Society would like to hear from you.

The classic story of Treasure Island, told in a traditional pantomime way – with pirates, shipmates, skeletons, dancing girls, Long John Silver, pretty Polly parrot, brave Jim Hawkins and his ‘mum’, is on the menu for 2012.

The show will be directed by Joan Heard, with Rob Preece as musical director and choreographed by Lucie Grace Welsman.

New members to SADS are welcome and open auditions for adults will be held at its headquarters in the Byes, at 7pm on Friday, July 15.

You don’t have to be a member of SADS to attend.

The same goes for junior open auditions, for those aged 13-16, which will take place at the HQ on Wednesday, July 20 at 7.30pm.

If you have any queries about Treasure Island or the auditions, please contact Joan on (01404) 41426.
