A group of Sidmouth performers have got a place in a theatre competition after wowing the crowd in Exeter.
The Sid Vale Community Productions’ show The Digital Age won Best Play in the Exmouth One Act Play Competition, and Christine Hardy won Best Original Script for the same.
The play will go into the area quarter finals of the All-England Theatre Festival, and the script will compete nationally for the Geoffrey Whitworth Trophy.
Another Sidmouth group, SADS Juniors, won the Best Junior production, with the members claiming their own individual trophies.
