Drumming workshop “therapeutic” says African retail shop owner Judith

A DRUMMING session was held at the United Reformed Church, Church Lane, for festival goers during Sidmouth FolkWeek.

Monday’s event saw some 10 people gather at the church, to partake in the bongo drumming session, which was lead by Judith Smith, writes Greg Carter.

Judith, who owns Sanaa House, an African retail shop on Sidmouth’s high street said: “The drumming can be very therapeutic and relaxing for those taking part.”

She added: “It is such a fantastic venue, it is a shame we didn’t have as many people here as we were expecting, but those in attendance enjoyed it.”
