THE playground at St Nicholas Junior School, Woolbrook, will come alive next Thursday when it goes Carnival Crazy for its summer fair.
THE playground at St Nicholas Junior School, Woolbrook, will come alive next Thursday when it goes Carnival Crazy for its summer fair.
At 2pm on July 10, masked children will bring a taste of Mardi Gras, English folk, Spanish and Chinese New Year celebrations to the fair's opening in a grand carnival procession.
Creative parents, under Coco Hodgkinson's supervision, have made a Chinese Dragon, papier mache caricatures and piñatas to enhance playground decorations.
Alexa Baker, PTA chairman, said: "To continue the theme alongside our many games and stalls we have a rodeo bull, sumo wrestling suits and donkeys from Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary."
Each year group will give a short performance and entertainment will include an inflatable run, ice creams, and food tasting from other countries.
