Sidmouth Library is challenging children of all ages to take part in the ‘The Big Friendly Read’ this summer.
Inspired by the works of Roald Dahl, and to celebrate his 100th birthday, the summer reading challenge is aimed at children from 4 to 11.
‘The Big Friendly Read’ is running in libraries across Devon and it is completely free. Children are challenged to visit their local library and read six books before September 10 to earn rewards. On completion, they receive a medal and certificate.
To take part, visit Sidmouth Library in Blackmore Drive. Details: summerreadingchallenge.org.uk.
