Ottery Choral Society’s Spring Concert has a star international attraction with a Swedish soloist singing alongside local professionals.
The event is to help mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and celebrate the Easter holiday, and takes place in Ottery St Mary parish Church on Saturday, March 31.
Sofia Flodin is the concert’s star attraction, flying in from Sweden to sing from a programme which includes Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, and Handel’s Coronation Anthems.
The other soloists include Hlose West, Leslie Baker and David Fouracre, and organisers say it promises a ‘feast of musical brilliance’ to celebrate Easter.
It starts at 7.30pm, and light refreshments will be served afterwards.
Tickets cost 9.50 for adults and 4.50 children, and are available from Stagestruck in Broad Street, call 01404 8111311.
