TALENTED musician Timothy Walker will perform to Sidmouth audiences after Easter when he visits the town from his home in the USA.

Founder of the Sadie Green Sales Jugband, Mr Walker, 68, plays classic rag and traditional jazz on various instruments, including a musical saw, washboard and kazoo.

The other half of the band, which performed at the popular Sidmouth Folk Festival during the 1980s, is David Driskell.

Mr Walker's elder sister Sally lives in Malden Road, Sidmouth, and has been distributing posters around the town promoting his solo European tour, which takes in Sidmouth.

Miss Walker said: "The Blue Ball is keen to take him, and the Balfour Arms, and local schools.

"Timothy and David play 15 instruments between them. David can't come over this year because his daughter is graduating in Pennsylvania, so Richard Ward from Exmouth will support Timothy.
